UFG Real Estate

The UFG Real Estate funds for institutional investors focus on investing
in Russian commercial real-estate, primarily located in Moscow and St. Petersburg,
that can produce strong operating cashflows and operational improvements
over the period of ownership. The four UFG Real Estate funds have a total
of $530 million of investments and commitments. UFG Real Estate
also offers co-investment opportunities on larger deals.

Mikhail Tarasov joined UFG Real Estate in 2006.

Prior to joining UFG Real Estate, Mr. Tarasov worked for eight years at the ZENIT Bank, holding a number of management positions, among them advisor to the Board of Directors, as well as supervising a number of construction and property development projects.

In 1996–1998, he worked in fixed income trading at AKB TOKOBANK and, in 1993–1996, served as the Deputy General Director of TOO TPF Provedenie, a retail company affiliated with Metro Cash & Carry.

Mikhail holds a PhD in Economics from the Russian State University for the Humanities.

Pavel Fedorov joined UFG Asset Management in 2009 as an associate, from Delta Private Equity Partners (DPEP), following DPEP's integration with UFG. Over his five years of private equity experience with UFG and DPEP, Mr. Fedorov sourced and developed a diverse pipeline and portfolio of projects across the telecom, media, and technology sectors, as well as in agriculture and manufacturing. He also supported due diligence teams with extensive research and financial modeling expertise.

In December 2010, Mr. Fedorov was appointed as the Director of UFG Real Estate.

Mr. Fedorov graduated with a BSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and obtained a Certificate in Investment Management from the Securities and Investment Institute in the UK.

Denis Martynov
Denis Martynov
Head of the Legal Department

Denis Martynov joined UFG Asset Management in 2007. Mr. Martynov specializes in civil, corporate, tax and real estate law and has advised clients on acquisition of real estate, structuring of investment and development projects, real estate financing, and property management.

Prior to joining UFG Asset Management in 2007, he worked for one of the leading sales and development companies in Moscow. In 2003–2006, Mr. Martynov worked as a civil servant in the Department of Construction and Overseas Property of the Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing legal support on acquisition of real estate and investment projects.

Mr. Martynov was awarded a Master’s degree in Law.
