Joined UFG in 2002 as Director with UFG Asset Management, alongside partner & founder of UFG’s liquid markets business, Florian Fenner, and was directly responsible for building the business from the beginning, including raising investment for hedge funds and working with foreign institutional investors. During her tenure with UFG Asset Management, UFG AM Public Markets Funds assets under management topped $1 billion.
In 2005, Ms. Kuchura identified and responded to the growing need for astute and professional structuring and management of private client assets in Russia and moved on to found a new core business within UFG group, UFG Wealth Management. The company focused on strategies catered to Russian clients investing at the time primarily outside of Russia.
In July 2016, Ms. Kuchura re-joined UFG AM Public Markets Funds as Partner, in addition to staying Partner of UFG Wealth Management.
In 2001-2002, Ms. Kuchura was responsible for international development and marketing at the Troika Dialog management company. Prior to moving to Russia, in 1995-2000, she worked at the Regent European Securities and Global Kazkommerts Securities investment companies in Almaty (Kazakhstan), where she was responsible for trade operations with international investment funds.
Ms. Kuchura is a graduate of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages.
Vadim Ogneshchikov joined UFG Asset Management in 2007 and is responsible for investment analysis and Russian public markets equity and fixed income strategies. He has experience in managing and advising on investment portfolios for leading asset management institutions since 1995.
Prior to joining UFG Asset Management, Mr. Ogneshchikov worked as a fund manager at the Evli Greater Russia Fund, the Russian equity product of the Evli Group, a leading Nordic investment bank. During the years 1997 to 2004, Mr. Ogneshchikov was employed by the Hansabank Group as a fund manager at the Hansa Russian Equity Fund. Prior to that, he managed investment portfolios at the Estonian Savings Bank and the Estonian Bank for Industry and Construction.
Mr. Ogneshchikov graduated from the Technical University of Tallinn with a degree in Economics.
Anton Tolmachev joined UFG in 2009. Prior to joining UFG, he worked for Russian investment banks (KIT Finance and Renaissance Capital).
At UFG, Mr. Tolmachev is responsible for investments in global equity and debt markets as well as macro and exposure overlay in Russian strategies. He is primarily focused on searching new unique opportunities in global capital markets, as well as regular portfolio rebalancing to ensure fine tuning and suitability for the chosen investment strategy, including clients’ risk profile and taking into account the global and domestic economic trends and financial performance of specific companies.
Mr. Tolmachev graduated from the MGIMO Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in 2007. He is a CFA charterholder.
Vadim Palamarchuk joined UFG Asset Management in early 2014. Mr. Palamarchuk is responsible for analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities, both in fixed income and equity space, with a focus on the Russian market.
Prior to joining UFG Asset Management, Mr. Palamarchuk worked as a fixed income analyst at Promsvyazbank, covering Russian fixed income universe. In 2012–2013, he held a similar position at IFC Metropol, where he was responsible for coverage of the power utilities sector. Mr. Palamarchuk started his career with Otkritie Capital in late 2009.
Mr. Palamarchuk holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Financial Markets from the Higher School of Economics (Faculty of Economics).
Aleksei Potapov joined UFG in December 2014. He is responsible for analytical support for the investment department, as well as analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Potapov held a similar position at a private bank, with a focus on portfolio management. From 2008 to 2011, Aleksei worked at the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange, where he took part in supporting and developing a family of MICEX indices and related analytical indicators.
Aleksei holds a Master’s degree in Financial Markets from the Higher School of Economics. He has completed FFMS certification (series 1.0 and 2.0.). Mr. Potapov is a CFA charterholder.
Evgeny Pundrovskiy joined UFG as a junior investment analyst in 2014. Mr. Pundrovskiy analyzes and evaluates investment opportunities, and prepares performance evaluation reports.
Upon graduation, he joined the corporate finance department of the Unifeeder logistics company, later moving on to join the back office of a brokerage firm in St. Petersburg. Prior to joining UFG, Evgeny worked as a fixed income analyst at Cbonds, a news agency specializing in financial markets.
Mr. Pundrovskiy graduated with honors from the FINEC Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance. He is a CFA charterholder.
Basang Sangadzhiev joined UFG as a trader in May 2016. Mr. Sangadzhiev executes trades with brokers.
After graduating Basang started his career as an economist with several Russian retail banks. Since 2011 Mr. Sangadzhiev resides in Cyprus, where prior to UFG held various positions in client management departments of EU regulated CIFs of major Russian investment banks: Renaissance Capital and Sberbank.
Mr. Sangadzhiev graduated with honors from the Moscow State Industrial University (MSIU) majoring in Mathematical and applied methods in Economics. He has Certificate in Wealth & Investment Management, Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission advanced qualification and Russian FFMS certification 1.0.
